Every "top 10" list is really a list built on someone's rules. Here are ours, up front, so you can judge what the list is worth.
The ten companies below are the first ten on our CNC machining directory page. The page lists companies whose own websites we've researched first, then by size (the employee band in Mexico's business registry), and each entry shows the evidence we found. That is the whole ranking. It is not a quality score, an endorsement, or a result of audits. We haven't visited these shops or tested their parts.
What the list does tell you: these are real, documented CNC shops with a website we've read, and they are large enough to be established. What it doesn't tell you: whether they are the best fit for your part. A 15-person shop that makes exactly what you need can be a better choice than a 500-person plant that doesn't.

The list is live: it follows our directory, so the ten can change as we research more companies. Each card shows where the company is, how big it is, what business model its site describes, the capabilities and certifications its own site states, and a quote with the page it came from. Certifications are claims from the company's website, not verified certificates.
What's behind the list
On our current data (October 2026), the directory lists 3,838 CNC machining companies in Mexico. Of those:
- 709 have a researched profile that documents CNC machining.
- 1,412 state that they take outside orders.
- About 1,945 are small (11 to 30 employees by the registry), and 594 are in the largest band (251 or more).
By state, Nuevo León has the most (579), followed by Estado de México (399), Querétaro (318), Jalisco (314), and Coahuila (304). See what the shops document in CNC machining capabilities in Mexico.
How to build your own shortlist
The top ten is a starting point. For a real project, narrow the list to what your part needs:
- By location. If you want to visit or truck parts quickly, start with a state or city: Nuevo León, Querétaro, Jalisco, Coahuila, Baja California, Chihuahua.
- By material. Pages for aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium list shops whose own sites document that material.
- By certification. ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), and AS9100 (aerospace) pages show who states them.
- By outside orders. Look for shops that say they take work from other companies. Some plants only supply their own group.
- By size. Large plants favor programs and volume. Small shops are likelier to take prototypes and short runs. Ask each one what its typical job looks like.
Questions to ask each shop
- Have you made parts like this, in this material, to this tolerance? Can you send examples?
- What machines will make my part, and what inspection equipment checks it?
- Will you send a first-article report?
- Do you do finishing in-house, or subcontract it?
- What are your minimums and lead times for prototypes and production?
- What certifications do you hold, and can I see the certificates?
Then verify the manufacturer and send the same RFQ to each shop so the quotes compare.
